When You’re Here

Get the scoop on what daily life at camp will look like. This section covers schedules, supervision, meals, curfews, and more to help you know what to expect during the week.

  • Every day at ACAP is different—but always full! You’ll attend sessions led by business professionals, work on your team’s case competition, visit local firms and companies, and enjoy social activities with other students. The schedule is packed, but there are breaks built in to relax, eat, and recharge.

  • Absolutely. ACAP has counselors and staff with you at all times. The program administrator and counselors will stay in the dorms overnight and will be available 24/7 in case you need anything. You’ll never be on your own—we’re here to support you.

    We have a 5:1 student-to-counselor ratio.

  • Tell a counselor or staff member right away. If needed, we’ll contact your parent or guardian and make sure you get the care you need.

  • No. Students are expected to stay with the group for the full program. For safety reasons, leaving campus or having outside visitors is not allowed.

  • We provide all meals, and we do our best to accommodate dietary needs and allergies.

Many of our meals will be served in the Atherton Student Union. Students can choose between a range of customizable favorites from build-your-own bowls and quesadillas to sandwiches and pizza.

  • Lights out is at 10:00 p.m. each night. You’ll need to be in your dorm room by then, winding down and getting rest for the next day. Staff will do a check to make sure everyone is safe and settled.

  • Yes! While the schedule is busy, there will be time in the evenings to relax, hang out in the dorm, or catch up with your team. It’s a great time to connect with new friends and recharge.

  • Talk to your ACAP counselor or a staff member—they can help resolve issues quickly and respectfully. We want everyone to feel safe and supported during the week.

  • Absolutely! Just make sure it’s respectful and appropriate. We love seeing your experience through your eyes—just don’t post during sessions or when speakers are presenting unless you’ve been given the okay.

Office Visits: If we’re ever in an area that prohibits photography, we’ll let you know. Occasionally, when we’re touring an office, there is sensitive information on computers and it’s not permitted to take pictures.

  • Tell your counselor or a staff member. We’ll do our best to help you find it. We’ll also have a lost-and-found area set up in a central location.
